In 2010 I was contracted to put together a portal for Oncology practitioners worldwide. The goal of the project was to take the traditional portal model and personalize it to each patient, along with a "glance" view of patient history, their vitals, medication information and nurse notes.
I wish I could show you guys what surgeons currently use, the systems that are in place are abysmal. They aren't mobile friendly, aren't consumption friendly and are a maze to update.
Because practitioners only have 2 minutes between patients to get an update on their medical history before walking into the room, I've focused their attention on the patient's vitals, nurse's notes and critical information on things like RBC count.
