The Global Research Alliance (GRA) was formally launched in New Delhi in January 2003 following a preparatory meeting in South Africa in 2002.  The Alliance is a network of some 50 000 scientists and engineers, with expertise in a wide range of disciplines, who are committed to the promotion of science, technology and innovation in development.

GRA needed a new website to engage the scientists from all over the world collaborating. The focus is addressing global issue through Inclusive Innovation.
